Ember told me that her doctor told her to go to a farmers market, then let your kids pick out a new vegetable, then go home and cook it together and try it. I thought it sounded like fun till Abe choose some beets. Holy crap they nasty but at least now we both know.

BTW...pickled beets are the only way to go! ;o)
Great Idea!!! Bob hates beets too. I'll eat them pickled but that's it.
Beets would not have been my first choice. May squash, or cucumbers, or zucchini, beet greens with vinegar however are very good.
We gotta cook 'em first, bemember?!
