Once in a lifetime

Grandma and Grandpa LeBaron stop by our burg and we couldn’t be more happy about it.

Ok so we missed the low tide and we called this guy “the king crab”. Pathetic we know.

Some people will do anything for a great shot. Even some people over 80 years old!

Things can get a little noisy and scary after dark!

Leave it to my kid to find a new and unintended way to use props.

This time with an actual plan!

No forbidden curses!

You can’t tell but we let them dine with a boat load of candles on the table.

Pumpkin juice, KFC (it had been a long day) pumpkin pasties, and cauldron cakes. Pretty stinking fun.

Could you possibly love that little face any more? And yeah that kid is eating with chop sticks (we all have our special gifts.)

Baileys just wanna have fun-un

This group of pictures is so pathetic I don’t even want to post them. Between a broken camera and no cell battery this is my entire collection of my family and my parents going to Orcas island and staying in a tiny cabin and going whale watching. Super fun even without the resident Orcas. Did you know that Orca whales eat deer that swim in the water? There I just saved you 90 bucks cause now you know for free.

 

This picture is only funny to the most observant of Baileys. I’ll give you a hint, Dad was doing the dishes.

Allison LeBarons Runs a Freaking Marathon

And Scott LeBaron documents the entire thing.  .  .even checking in.

I was so nervous I couldn’t remember how to spell my name and Scott was no help because he was so busy documenting.

This is me feeling sick to my stomach and trying to make sure I break in my new running shoes, and feeling like a fool.

Checking my last “good luck” text pre race. I don’t embarrass easily, but with all these serious runners getting on the shuttle and two or three husbands taking our picture as we got on, I felt like the seventh grader whose mom is still taking pictures the first day of school.

I like this picture because it looks like we are running with “old no shirt,” who is passing us.

This man is affectionately called the crypt keeper, in case you are wondering he killed us by like 20 minutes. Thanks Greg for pretending to pose so we could get a picture of him.

Cheer/Support/Camera crew. They were soooo amazingly awesome. Thank you!

Scott was asking me how many oyster shots I had done thus far. (Yes they were available, as if running a marathon isn’t amazing enough!)

Finish line! 5 hours and 6 minutes. Looks like I’m stomping on the timing pad so they get it right.

Salty painful sweat

Looking for LeBaron children? You won’t find them. I can marathon or I can mother, I can’t do both. With that said let’s give a giant shout out to my awesome sitters! Leah and Dane Thankyou Thankyou for watching and loving my kids all weekend.

I cannot tell you how much I love these women. They are honestly a vision of beauty to me. I feel so lucky to share such a powerful experience with these women ( I could not contain my dorky tears as I crossed that finish line.) They have listened to me whine, helped me deal with what life has thrown at me, listened patiently to bad advice from me. They make me laugh and being with them feeds my soul in a very real way.

Scott was very supportive and loving and excited for me so on the way back we stopped at the cheese factory. I don’t want to say that this was his favorite part of the weekend but…look at the sparkle in his eye.
